Safe way to courier jewelry in or out of Malaysia?

I have heard many horror stories about missing gold / jewelry from package couriered or posted into or out of Malaysia. Anyone knows of a way to safeguard parcel contents from the dirty hands of Kastam Diraja Malaysia?
