Good books and better comprehension?

ok im 13 and i want to become smrter and im starting to like books but i have poor comprehension.....like i read the story and when it comes to the questions i get many wrong like it there is 10 question ill get 4-6 wrong and i even reread the lines so i make sure i get it..so good books (200-300 pages) and advice on comprehension questions
